Healthy 3-Ingredient Banana Pancakes: The Easiest Recipe for Babies & Toddlers

As a mama, I’m always on the hunt for recipes that are quick, nutritious, and — most importantly — approved by my little one. Today, I’m sharing our absolute favorite breakfast (and snack!) that has become a staple in our kitchen.

These Banana & Oat Mini-Pancakes are naturally sweet, gluten-free, and take less than 10 minutes to make. No added sugar, just wholesome ingredients that give your baby the energy they need for a day of play.

Ingredients:

1 Ripe Banana (the spottier, the sweeter!)

1 Egg (or a flax egg for a vegan version)

3-4 tbsp Oat Flour (you can simply blend rolled oats into a fine powder)

Optional: A handful of fresh blueberries or a dash of cinnamon.

Instructions:

Mash the banana in a bowl until it’s a smooth puree.

Whisk in the egg until well combined.

Stir in the oat flour until you have a thick, spoonable batter.

Heat a non-stick pan with a tiny drop of coconut oil. Scoop small tablespoons of batter to make "mini" pancakes—perfect for little hands to grab.

Add toppings: Press a few blueberries into each pancake while the first side cooks.

Flip & Gold: Cook for about 2 minutes on each side over low-medium heat until golden brown.

Mama Muse Tip:

These pancakes are great for Baby Led Weaning (BLW) because they are soft and easy to chew. I love serving them on a silicone suction plate to keep the mess to a minimum!
